As I said in the overview, I come from a long line of hippies and have always loved nature and the environment. Getting into photography has given me a whole new appreciation of the world around us, even the smallest things. My macro lens in particular has reminded me that even within the confines of the urban jungle lies a tiny and often overlooked world, the world of insects. Every tree is an oasis of life, every flower is food for hundreds, every leaf is a a home, a shelter and a battle ground and most of the time we are too busy to notice.
